About the position

The Purchasing Manager at Fresh is responsible for defining and executing the purchasing strategy in alignment with business objectives. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement laws while optimizing costs and maintaining product quality. The Purchasing Manager will work collaboratively with internal teams and other LVMH brands to enhance purchasing processes and achieve financial targets.

Responsibilities

• Define purchasing strategy in line with business objectives and category sourcing strategy.
• Lead purchasing activities including annual vendor reviews and action plans with the operations department.
• Coordinate with other LVMH P&C brands on specified subjects.
• Manage sourcing and purchasing of component vendors according to Fresh and LVMH strategies and budget guidelines.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and ensure compliance, resolving disputes and evaluating supplier performance.
• Oversee the preparation of the annual purchasing budget and ensure purchases remain within budgetary limits.
• Work closely with the finance team to forecast costs and savings, assessing financial risks associated with procurement activities.
• Achieve target yearly savings and seek improvements in purchasing processes using new technologies or innovative practices.
• Ensure compliance with procurement laws and stay informed about relevant legislation affecting sourcing decisions.
• Manage risks related to supply chain disruptions or breaches in contractual obligations.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in procurement and purchasing, specifically in beauty purchasing.
• Expertise in packaging materials such as metal, plastic, glass, and cardboard.
• Strong analytical abilities for assessing market conditions.
• Strategic agility and pragmatism in decision-making.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills.
• Fluency in Fresh and understanding of ERP systems.
• Familiarity with international trade regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proven project management skills.
