About the position

Join our team as a Senior Director of Regional Operations at the Lancaster Family Health Center in Salem, OR. In this role, you will have oversight and responsibility for two primary care clinics in Salem, directing medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and scheduling call center operations. This includes effectively managing staff productivity and financial budgets, ensuring patient satisfaction targets are met, and championing quality assurance programs. We've transformed into a leading community health center with over 40 clinics across Washington and Oregon, offering a wide range of services such as medical, dental, pharmacy, orthodontia, nutritional counseling, autism screening, and behavioral health. Our holistic model also extends assistance to shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics. Responsibilities

  • Manage three or more service line clinics/stores (medical, dental, pharmacy) with 100+ FTEs, 65,000 to 100,000 encounters, and an expense budget of $16-25 million.
  • Coach, mentor, and train direct report staff, providing continuous performance management and conducting employee performance evaluations.
  • Address performance and/or behavior issues, clarifying expectations and providing feedback.
  • Support staff growth and development, assessing educational and experience needs in collaboration with individuals.
  • Encourage staff to seek educational opportunities, incorporating job-related training in addition to mandatory training.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff, providing orientation to outline job requirements and expectations.
  • Create and maintain an inclusive work environment that respects diverse ideas, backgrounds, and styles.
  • Support diversity through the selection, management, and retention of diverse employees.
  • Create, drive, and maintain an employee engagement culture.
  • Responsible for the patient experience in all service lines at sites and achieving organizational goals for Patient Satisfaction.
  • Achieve enrollment standards, patient quality metrics, patient access, and appropriate ED utilization as required by managed care organizations.
  • Manage all workflows at the site, including the clinic billing process for all applicable service lines within the site.
  • Exemplify excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, and other employees, addressing all patient complaints.
  • Partner with local healthcare leaders to develop a coordinated delivery system within the communities serviced by the clinics.
  • Develop and maintain ties and/or networks in the local community for the purpose of promoting the mission of Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC).
  • Recommend the establishment, expansion, modification, or elimination of services based on community need, organizational capability, and financial viability.
  • Develop an annual encounter budget for all applicable service lines and be responsible for the achievement of the budget.
  • Contribute to the creation of the site's financial budget and manage variances for all controllable budget line items.
  • Develop and drive operational improvement and change management initiatives within the clinics.
  • Lead the site leadership team in continuous improvement practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, Meaningful Use, National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Uniform Data System (UDS), and local and state/federal regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or similar.
  • Seven years' supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Five years' supervisory experience is required with a Master's Degree.
  • Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage.
  • Knowledge of Oregon State Basic Health Plans.
  • Knowledge of Community and Migrant Health Centers and primary healthcare services.
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and communicate effectively.
  • Proficient with Epic or other patient information systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of medical and/or dental office operations preferred.
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

  • Salary $116,000 - $156,000 DOE with ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates.
