As the Senior Director of Regional Operations, you will manage three or more service line clinics/stores (medical, dental, pharmacy), overseeing 100+ FTEs and handling 65,000 to 100,000 encounters with an expense budget of $16-25 million. Your role will involve coaching, mentoring, and training direct report staff, providing continuous performance management, and conducting employee performance evaluations. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining an inclusive work environment that respects diverse ideas, backgrounds, and styles, while also supporting staff growth and development. In this position, you will ensure the patient experience in all service lines at sites and achieve organizational goals for Patient Satisfaction. You will manage all workflows at the site, including the clinic billing process for all applicable service lines, and exemplify excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, and other employees. Additionally, you will partner with local healthcare leaders to develop a coordinated delivery system within the communities serviced by the clinics, and recommend the establishment, expansion, modification, or elimination of services based on community needs and organizational capability.

Responsibilities

  • Manages three or more service line clinics/stores (medical, dental, pharmacy) with 100+ FTEs and an expense budget of $16-25 million.
  • Coaches, mentors, and trains direct report staff.
  • Provides continuous performance management and conducts employee performance evaluations.
  • Addresses performance and/or behavior issues, clarifying expectations and providing feedback.
  • Supports staff growth and development by assessing educational and experience needs.
  • Encourages staff to seek educational opportunities incorporating job-related training.
  • Participates in the recruitment and selection of staff and provides orientation.
  • Creates and maintains an inclusive work environment that respects diverse ideas, backgrounds, and styles.
  • Responsible for the patient experience in all service lines at sites and achieving organizational goals for Patient Satisfaction.
  • Manages all workflows at the site, including the clinic billing process for all applicable service lines.
  • Exemplifies excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, and other employees.
  • Addresses all patient complaints and holds staff accountable for customer service policy conformity.
  • Partners with local healthcare leaders to develop a coordinated delivery system within the communities serviced by the clinics.
  • Develops and maintains ties and/or networks in the local community to promote the mission of Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic.
  • Recommends the establishment, expansion, modification, or elimination of services based on community need and financial viability.
  • Develops an annual encounter budget for all applicable service lines and manages variances for controllable budget line items.
  • Develops and drives operational improvement and change management initiatives within the clinics.
  • Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, Meaningful Use, NCQA, UDS, and local and state/federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or similar.
  • Seven years' supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Five years' supervisory experience is required with a Master's Degree.
  • Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage.
  • Knowledge of Oregon State Basic Health Plans.
  • Knowledge of Community and Migrant Health Centers and primary healthcare services.
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and communicate effectively.
  • Proficient with Epic or other patient information systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of medical and/or dental office operations preferred.
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

  • Experience in a community health center setting.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
