About the position

We are in search of an exceptional and experienced marketing and sales leader to drive our revenue growth, enhance our brand, and support the delivery of unforgettable experiences at Flyover. The Senior Director of Sales & Marketing will play a vital role on the Flyover leadership team, focusing on maximizing revenue generation across all attractions. This position will oversee global marketing and sales strategies, fostering customer acquisition, retention, and overall business expansion. Reporting directly to Flyover's Chief Operating Officer, the ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a robust background in marketing, sales and revenue management within the entertainment, tourism, or attractions sectors. This individual should excel at solving complex challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative, and results-driven organizational culture. The role encompasses several key areas including revenue strategy and management, marketing strategy and execution, sales leadership, brand management, customer experience and engagement, market expansion and growth, and budgeting and financial oversight. The Senior Director will develop and execute a comprehensive revenue strategy aligned with Flyover's growth and profitability goals, oversee pricing strategies and financial performance metrics, and monitor market trends to identify revenue enhancement opportunities. Additionally, they will be responsible for crafting a global marketing strategy that elevates brand awareness and drives customer engagement, while also leading a high-performing global sales team and fostering relationships with key partners to expand market reach. This position requires a strong focus on customer experience, utilizing data-driven insights to personalize marketing efforts and improve customer engagement. The Senior Director will also identify new market opportunities for expansion and lead market entry strategies, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI. The role demands a proactive approach to innovation and collaboration with finance and operations teams to align revenue goals with broader business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and implement a comprehensive revenue strategy aligned with Flyover's growth and profitability goals across all attractions.
  • Oversee pricing strategies, revenue forecasting, and financial performance metrics to optimize profitability.
  • Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify revenue enhancement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a global marketing strategy that elevates brand awareness, drives customer engagement, and enhances the guest experience.
  • Oversee digital marketing, social media, content creation, and public relations efforts to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute targeted marketing campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences across different regions.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing global sales team, setting clear goals, KPIs, and performance expectations.
  • Drive B2B and B2C sales initiatives, including group bookings, partnerships, and direct-to-consumer channels.
  • Foster relationships with key partners, distributors, and stakeholders to expand market reach and drive sales growth.
  • Develop and maintain brand standards, guidelines, and messaging to strengthen Flyover's market position.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing and sales channels while ensuring alignment with the development, evolution, and delivery of the customer experience.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring that all sales and marketing efforts prioritize the guest experience.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to personalize marketing efforts and improve customer engagement and loyalty.
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities for expansion and growth, both geographically and through new product offerings.
  • Lead market entry strategies, including partnerships, acquisitions, and new location development.
  • Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Track and report on financial performance, making data-driven adjustments to strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to align revenue goals with broader business objectives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, and revenue management, with a strong background in the entertainment, tourism, or attractions industry.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability in a multi-regional or global context.
  • Experience managing and mentoring diverse teams.
  • Capable of strategic thinking while executing tactical actions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, CRM systems, and data analytics.
  • Open to international travel as needed.
