About the position

The Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations at SSM Health Care Corporate is a pivotal role that provides strategic direction and oversight for all supply chain operations functions within the assigned region. This position is responsible for interpreting and administering policies for the supply chain team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and facilitating operations objectives that enhance customer service for both internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Director will engage in regular communication with regional leaders through monthly updates and weekly Tier Huddles, acting as a liaison between various departments to ensure seamless operations. In this role, the Senior Director will develop, administer, and monitor regional supply chain operations tactics, ensuring that performance metrics align with system strategies that meet community healthcare needs. The position requires the implementation and standardization of best practices in logistics, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management across the region. The Senior Director will also oversee the development of systems and processes aimed at continuous improvement in operational performance, fostering an environment that encourages quality enhancement in supply chain services. Human resource management is another critical aspect of this role, as the Senior Director will create a culture of employee engagement and ensure consistent administration of Human Resource policies. This includes organizing departmental structures, delegating functions appropriately, and identifying succession planning needs. The Senior Director will also direct supply chain automation innovations and collaborate with executive and clinical leaders to maintain superior customer experiences. Financial oversight is essential, as the Senior Director will develop and implement financial improvement plans to drive efficiencies and cost savings. Additionally, the role involves directing the resolution of supply chain issues related to integration and consolidation functions within the assigned region, working closely with peers and the Vice President of Supply Chain Operations. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the overall mission of SSM Health.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction, consultation, and support for all supply chain operations functions for the assigned region.
  • Acts as supply chain operations liaison with various departments and groups, attending monthly updates and weekly Tier Huddles with regional leaders.
  • Facilitates and acts on operations objectives aligned with organizational goals, ensuring premier customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Develops, administers, aligns, and monitors regional supply chain operations tactics to support system strategies that fulfill community healthcare needs.
  • Ensures development, implementation, and standardization of leading practice supply chain operation processes in logistics, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management.
  • Oversees human resource management for the assigned area, creating a culture of employee engagement and ensuring consistent administration of Human Resource policies.
  • Directs and monitors supply chain automation innovations, collaborating with executive and clinical leaders to ensure superior customer experience.
  • Develops and implements financial improvement plans to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Directs the resolution of supply chain issues related to integration and consolidation functions within the assigned region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Ten years of experience in supply chain operations, with at least five years in a leadership role.
