About the position

The Senior Director, US Medical for Lymphoma/CLL at Bristol Myers Squibb is a leadership role responsible for providing scientific and medical direction for approved products and compounds in the Lymphoma Therapeutic Area. This position involves strategic planning, execution of medical affairs strategies, and collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to support the medical strategy and ensure successful product launches. The role requires managing a team of medical professionals and overseeing clinical trials and data generation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the US medical team for Lymphoma, providing scientific and medical leadership.
  • Develop and execute medical affairs strategies in alignment with US and WW Medical plans.
  • Manage the budget and resources for the Lymphoma team, ensuring timely updates and compliance.
  • Oversee the execution of BMS-sponsored clinical trials and investigator-sponsored studies.
  • Represent US Medical as a Lymphoma expert in internal and external venues.
  • Provide training and support to the Lymphoma team and other functions on disease-specific knowledge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on medical strategy and execution.
  • Interact with key external stakeholders, including KOLs and advocacy groups.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a health-related field (MD, PharmD, or PhD) with experience in Hematology/Oncology.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of clinical experience in hematology/oncology and medical affairs.
  • Experience in clinical research and development within the biopharmaceutical industry (3-5+ years).
  • Core competency in hematology and familiarity with trial designs and statistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience in conducting pharmaceutical clinical trials and managing study protocols.
