The Senior Director, Vision Global Supply Chain Procurement will be the Business Engagement Leader (BEL) accountable for overseeing the external spend for the Vision Businesses, which represent more than $5 billion of NTS with projected significant growth and premier market positions. This role requires a strategic mindset to manage a diverse business that includes both the lens business with significant FMCG market characteristics and the Surgical Vision business, which is a complex and sophisticated MedTech business. The spend in support of this business resides in multiple categories and sums up to approximately $1 billion per year. In this role, you will report directly to the VP Supply Chain Procurement MedTech and must be based in or willing to relocate to Jacksonville, Florida. You will be responsible for representing all Procurement across the 3-tier model to the boards of Vision Supply Chain and R&D, orchestrating the efforts of diverse categories (direct and indirect) and Global Services Procurement to advance the Vision business. You will lead the integrated Supply Chain Source business plan and the related long-range financial plan for the Vision business, collaborating closely with MedTech or Enterprise Category leaders who manage the overall category and supplier management scope. As a proactive member of the end-to-end Supply Chain Leadership Team, you will work closely with Vision Business Development and R&D to support new product pipeline development and product launch or integration. You will also engage actively in the MedTech Supply Chain community and the Enterprise Procurement function, ensuring that the Vision Supply Chain and R&D are aligned. Your leadership will extend to developing the Vision Procurement team and its members, driving engagement with core suppliers in collaboration with Category Teams, and ensuring the execution of the strategic and business plans in line with expectations from Vision Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, and Commercial functions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the external spend for the Vision Businesses, managing approximately $1 billion per year.
  • Represent all Procurement across the 3-tier model to the boards of Vision Supply Chain and R&D.
  • Orchestrate efforts of diverse categories (direct and indirect) and Global Services Procurement to advance the Vision business.
  • Lead the integrated Supply Chain Source business plan and the related long-range financial plan for the Vision business.
  • Collaborate closely with MedTech or Enterprise Category leaders for overall category and supplier management.
  • Act as a proactive member of the end-to-end Supply Chain Leadership Team as the Source member.
  • Support new product pipeline development and product launch or integration in collaboration with Vision Business Development and R&D.
  • Engage actively in the MedTech Supply Chain community and the Enterprise Procurement function.
  • Lead and develop the Vision Procurement team and its members.
  • Drive engagement with core suppliers in collaboration with Category Teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage teams effectively.
  • Experience in managing large-scale procurement operations, ideally in a MedTech or FMCG environment.
  • Ability to cultivate meaningful external relationships and partnerships.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate insights into innovative and viable products or solutions.
  • Experience in change management and risk management within a corporate environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the eye care or medical device industry.
  • Familiarity with financial planning and analysis in a procurement context.
  • Knowledge of global supply chain dynamics and trends.
