About the position

The Senior Director, Executive Engagement and Workplace Planning is responsible for developing and executing Empower's workplace strategy focused on financial planning and executive engagement. This role involves creating key services such as stock-plan and executive financial planning services, while leading a high-performing team dedicated to enhancing customer experiences and driving plan sponsor adoption. The position requires a proactive leader with a passion for financial planning and the ability to build an organization from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Drive high velocity, high impact senior organization to exceptional results characterized by deepened customer relationships, financial plan delivery/execution and consolidation of held away assets.
  • Strategize business plan, job architecture and business model with VP to execute through modeling results, analytics, and execution of plan.
  • Support plan sponsor consultation on adoption of holistic service offering to best serve their most complex employees.
  • Launch and develop Executive Services strategy, offering, and deliverables.
  • Develop and grow a service model to support executives with complex planning needs including nonqual and stock plan optimization, tax/estate planning strategies, and comprehensive household planning.
  • Oversee growth of comprehensive Financial Planning team for Workplace business line.
  • Create strategies to enhance business growth, while supporting new initiatives, process enhancements, and team execution.
  • Coach leaders to deliver exceptional results personally and through their teams.
  • Lead through change management in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Ensure supervisory expectations meet firm guidelines and are upheld throughout the organization.
  • Hold team accountable to and deliver on productivity, performance, and customer experience expectations.
  • Measure, analyze, evaluate, and manage workflows, business trends and profitability drivers to ensure revenue and AUM opportunities are maximized.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of relatable industry leadership experience.
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, required.
  • FINRA fingerprinting required.
  • FINRA Series 7, 24, & 66, required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Expertise in asset growth and retention through comprehensive planning (including tax and estate planning, and asset optimization across ERISA and Non-ERISA plans).
  • Demonstrated success leading an organization while developing new service offerings that do not currently exist within the firm.
  • Deep understanding of financial planning and other services (including tax and estate planning) needed to deliver delightful experiences to executives.
  • Culture development aligns with flat organization and collaborative mindset.
  • Expertise in sales in a highly regulated environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines in a rapid growth, ambiguous and changing environment.
  • Hiring and development practices project growth to the organization and scale of business practices.

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office software and ability to learn new technology systems.
