About the position
The Senior Distribution Analyst position at the Department of the Treasury involves providing strategic guidance and support for distribution operations within the Taxpayer Services Division. The role requires collaboration with management to define organizational goals, develop policies, and ensure effective distribution patterns across various service centers and field offices.
Responsibilities
- Meet with managers and executives to define overall goals and objectives of the organization.
- Establish directives, memoranda, policy statements, and other written guidelines.
- Provide advice and feedback to management on critical, sensitive, and confidential matters.
- Serve as management's representative in meetings involving sensitive or confidential issues.
- Exercise authority to make commitments involving administrative management of the organization.
- Brief and advise the chief on issues involved and commitments made.
- Approve personnel, administrative, budget, and contractual actions on behalf of the manager.
Requirements
- One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level in the Federal service.
- Experience using organizational structures and responsibilities related to distribution.
- Experience with program management requirements for distribution.
- Experience recommending new or revised distribution policies and procedures.
- Experience using analytical and evaluative methods to develop innovative solutions.
- Experience with budget and procurement procedures.
- Experience using project management techniques.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with various PC software applications for effective analysis.
- Knowledge of inter-relationships of operations to assess overall program cost and effectiveness.
