About the position

The Senior Distribution Specialist plays a crucial role in the Supply Chain Operations Americas by acting as the liaison between LEGO stakeholders and outsourced logistics partners. This position focuses on ensuring that LEGO products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and timely, while providing excellent customer service to both internal and external collaborators. The specialist will manage daily operations with third-party logistics (3PL) partners and support various supply chain initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize an end-to-end mindset to aid operations and proactively interact with 3PL partners for timely receipt and shipment of finished goods.
  • Manage daily activities with 3PLs, including daily calls, prioritizations, scheduling, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Identify trends and provide insights related to inventory, including velocity reports, quality and rework opportunities, OS&Ds, returns, claims, and disposals.
  • Partner with and support internal stakeholders within Supply Chain Operations Americas.
  • Generate and support ideas, projects, and process development through active engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Operations Management.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Distribution or Logistics.
  • Ability to lead multiple priorities while achieving agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Proven drive and curiosity.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized with the ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to work with various cultures.
  • Knowledge of SAP and BW.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and tools.
