About the position

The position requires a strong background in Domestic Letters of Credit (LC) and experience with the GTSNet system. The individual will be responsible for processing complex international transactions and will communicate directly with clients utilizing international services, ensuring adherence to the Division's client service standards, policies, and procedures. The role involves handling client transactions, including debiting and crediting funds from demand deposit accounts, examining Letter of Credit documents, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. The candidate will assist the L/C specialist and may assume a leadership role for the production team in the absence of the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Must have a very strong working knowledge in International products as designated by the respective letter of credit operational unit.
  • Process and examine documents for Import & Export Letters of Credit.
  • Issue Letters of Credit and manage incoming/outgoing payments and wire transfers.
  • Handle Standby Letters of Credit, including issuance and processing.
  • Serve as the primary contact for responding to questions and problem resolution.
  • Assist in day-to-day processing to ensure work is completed within production timelines.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a business-related field or equivalent education and related training.
  • Five years of experience in domestic operations.
  • Ability to work independently, be well organized, self-motivated, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills to independently research and resolve problems.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Hands-on customer service experience in a financial services environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills (reading, writing, and comprehension).
  • Ability to follow bank policies and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of various banking systems such as money transfer, Demand Deposit Account (DDA), SWIFT.
  • Strong knowledge of the GTSNet Trade Application.
