The primary role of this position is to update existing and project drawings using AutoCAD with minimal direction from Engineers or Designers. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate efficiency and accuracy while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Key tasks include updating Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for various sites, conducting field verification, and redlining of P&IDs. Additionally, the role involves updating General Arrangement Drawings based on project information and discipline-specific drawings such as Piping Isometrics, Civil & Structural details, and Electrical & Instrumentation details. The position requires a strong educational background, specifically an Associate degree in design/drafting or a related field. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the chemical industry, particularly with AutoCAD. Experience with Cadworx is considered a bonus. The ideal candidate will possess competency in creating or revising drawings from design sketches and verbal instructions, along with a sound knowledge of computer graphics and drafting techniques. Familiarity with engineering drawings, reading of drawings, and reproduction methods used by the engineering discipline is essential. Moreover, candidates should have basic mathematical skills and knowledge of drafting standards and procedures. A commitment to safety practices in the workplace and in the production of CADD drawings is crucial, as is the ability to operate the MS Office suite. The ability to work well within a team of peers, along with excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative work environment, is also required.
