About the position

The Senior Drafter position at Roomi Group involves using AutoCAD or similar CAD software to create detailed shop drawings for millwork fabrication. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of drawings and compliance with relevant codes and standards. The position also includes site visits for measurement verification and material takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD or similar CAD software to prepare detailed shop drawings for millwork fabrication.
• Read and interpret architectural and shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
• Visit construction jobsites to verify measurements and dimensions as necessary.
• Perform material takeoffs and prepare cut lists.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all drawings and related materials.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the millwork industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software, with minimum 1-3 years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong spatial visualization skills and ability to work in both 2D and 3D.
• Proficiency in Excel, PDF manipulation, and other relevant software.
• Valid Texas Driver License.
