About the position

The Senior EHS Analyst at Cornerstone Building Brands is responsible for driving environmental, health, and safety (EHS) improvements across manufacturing locations. This role emphasizes injury prevention, compliance with EHS regulations, and fostering a safety culture within the organization. The analyst will work closely with leadership and employees to implement policies, conduct training, and respond to regulatory inspections, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement policies and programs for local compliance with applicable EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) for assigned locations.
  • Execute an EHS compliance calendar for all required regulatory and policy activities.
  • Develop and conduct EHS training necessary for regulatory compliance.
  • Support or conduct mandatory regulatory event reporting (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
  • Respond to complaints or inspections by federal and state agencies and provide corrective action assistance.
  • Maintain local emergency response capability, including necessary drills and training.
  • Support local environmental compliance programs and promote sustainability actions.
  • Review new processes or equipment for EHS impacts and collaborate on corrective actions.
  • Maintain location SDS management system to meet regulations and company policy.
  • Coordinate local testing and analysis for EHS-related topics.
  • Identify safety hazards and prepare reports with recommendations for corrective action.
  • Lead and participate in investigations of accidents to identify preventive measures.
  • Conduct trend analysis, audits, and site inspections of operational procedures.
  • Monitor and coordinate onsite hazardous waste activities and off-site disposal practices.
  • Obtain and maintain certification for basic Life Support and First Aid skills.
  • Promote a safety awareness culture and prevention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, health, and environmental with 3 years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing environment.
  • Technical degrees (chemistry, biology, engineering) with 5+ years of EHS work experience in a manufacturing environment if no BS in EHS.
  • Proven track record of EHS leadership and influencing positive change.
  • Experience in leading transformational change in manufacturing processes and culture.
  • Experience participating on cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in measuring/tracking EHS-related metrics.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products.
