About the position
The Senior Electric Utility Engineering Lead at Patrick Engineering, a RINA company, is a subject matter expert responsible for managing and executing various engineering and design activities within the electric utility sector. This role involves leading grid modernization initiatives, overseeing technical work, and ensuring quality assurance on deliverables. The position also includes business development responsibilities and maintaining client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead electric utility activities such as distribution engineering planning, design, and operating activities.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, deliverables, and client expectations.
- Assist in business development and client account management activities.
- Oversee the technical work of staff engineers and ensure quality assurance on their work products.
- Participate in proposal writing and development, and lead client meetings.
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in power systems from an ABET accredited institution.
- 5-10+ years of experience in power system modeling, analysis, and project management.
- Professional Engineering license desired.
- Proficient in power systems analysis software and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Previous experience in electric utility or consulting for electric utility clients.
- Familiarity with electric utility regulatory requirements and NESC requirements desired.
- Knowledge of project management software tools and methodologies.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in leading consulting staff engineers and collaborating with electric utility client staff.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
