As a Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer at Schneider Electric, you will play a pivotal role in our Modernization Team, focusing on the design and implementation of low and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies and systems. This position requires a deep understanding of industry standards, including IEEE/ANSI, IEC, and NEC/NFPA 70E, to ensure compliance and safety in all designs. You will be responsible for creating and coordinating electrical control and protection schemes for switchgear equipment, which includes both new installations and retrofitting existing systems. Your expertise will be crucial in managing the overall project delivery, ensuring that all aspects from initial quotations to project close-out are executed efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will lead the design and support of protective relaying schemes, conducting essential studies such as short circuit, coordination, and arc flash assessments. You will also oversee the production and installation schedules, which involves direct interaction with customers, generating electrical Bills of Materials (BOMs), and preparing comprehensive drawing and instruction packages for production. Your leadership will extend to on-site installation, start-up, and commissioning of switchgear line-ups, particularly in high-demand industrial environments. Additionally, you will support our production and quality assurance teams to uphold manufacturing excellence and perform site visits to assess existing equipment conditions. Your responsibilities will also include supporting testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
