About the position

The Senior Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer at Boeing will play a crucial role in defining and integrating electrical systems across the commercial fleet, particularly for the 737 MAX Development Systems Integration team. This position involves translating high-level requirements into specific architectures and operational specifications, ensuring the physical integration of electrical systems into complex airplanes. The engineer will collaborate with a global supplier base, validate designs through testing, and support systems from initial concept through certification and production life.

Responsibilities

  • Leads work with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements on complex multi-tiered projects.
  • Leads analysis and translation of complex requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Leads testing and validation work on complex system designs to assure that operational and functional requirements are met.
  • Manages performance of critical suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Conducts program independent reviews and reports results to program leadership.
  • Provides critical support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Leads research into technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
  • Makes recommendations for technology investments.
  • Recognized as a business unit-wide expert in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration and installation design and resolving supplier technical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 10+ years of experience working in an electrical design engineering environment.
  • 10+ years of experience working with Surveillance systems (TCAS/ATC/WXR).
  • 5+ years of experience with Enhanced Proximity Warning Systems (EGPWS), and/or Stall Management Yaw Damper (SMYD).

Nice-to-haves

  • Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering degree.
  • Experience within Electrical Systems hardware and software design.
  • Familiarity with engineering processes and methods.
  • Knowledge of FAA certification.
