Amazon Web Services Infrastructure Services is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our global engineering team. This role is pivotal in the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring that our cloud services remain operational and efficient. As part of this team, you will be responsible for the electrical design of data centers, collaborating with a diverse group of engineers and specialists to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions that meet our customers' needs. You will engage in hands-on electrical design, focusing on critical equipment specifications and constructability of various designs. Your work will span from initial concept through to the permit and construction document set, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. In this role, you will be tasked with creating resilient electrical distribution systems that support our data centers. You will justify and communicate technical decisions to senior management, driving continuous improvements in our designs. The position requires a collaborative approach, as you will work closely with internal teams and external partners, including utilities and contractors, to ensure successful project execution. You will also be involved in the commissioning process, validating the installation and performance of electrical systems, and providing technical support throughout the construction phases.
