Amazon Web Services Infrastructure Services is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our global engineering team. This role is pivotal in the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring that our cloud services remain operational and efficient. As part of this team, you will be responsible for the electrical design of data centers, collaborating with a diverse group of engineers, supply chain specialists, and operations managers to deliver high standards of safety and security while optimizing costs for our customers. In this position, you will leverage your hands-on electrical design experience to create resilient and cost-effective electrical distribution systems. You will take designs from concept through to the permit and construction document set, defining critical equipment specifications and approving equipment submittals. Your role will involve direct support for construction, from site selection reviews through to commissioning and turnover. You will be expected to communicate technical decisions to senior management and drive continuous improvements in our designs.
