Amazon Web Services Infrastructure Services is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our global engineering team. This role is pivotal in the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring that our cloud services remain operational and efficient. As part of this team, you will be responsible for the electrical design of data centers, collaborating with a diverse group of engineers, supply chain specialists, and operations managers to deliver high-quality, resilient electrical systems that meet the needs of our customers. You will work on complex problems that involve thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and your contributions will directly influence the performance and reliability of our data centers. In this position, you will take designs from concept through to the permit and construction document set, defining critical equipment specifications and approving equipment submittals. You will support construction efforts, participating in site selection reviews, commissioning, and turnover processes. Your role will require you to design cost-effective electrical distribution systems that achieve world-class uptime for our customers. You will also be responsible for justifying and communicating technical decisions to senior management, driving continuous improvements in our designs, and fostering an inclusive culture that encourages bold ideas and innovation.
