About the position

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer at Advantage Point Group (APG) will lead the electrical engineering aspects of various projects, focusing on facilities design for industrial plants. This role involves ensuring that electrical systems are designed, analyzed, and implemented in alignment with project goals while providing mentorship to junior engineers and maintaining compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall electrical engineering aspects of projects, ensuring the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical systems align with project goals.
• Develop and review electrical engineering documents, specifications, and plans.
• Design and oversee the implementation of complex power distribution systems and lighting systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and coordinate projects efficiently, balancing delegation and hands-on work.
• Collaborate with a dynamic multi-disciplinary team to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
• Communicate project status and technical information to stakeholders.
• Coordinate ARC Flash Studies and collaborate with external engineering subcontractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (advanced degrees preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering for commercial or industrial projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant electrical codes and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven leadership abilities with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and dedication to meeting project deadlines.
