About the position

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, implementing, and evaluating electronic equipment specifically for high temperature applications. This role involves troubleshooting and developing design solutions, ensuring effective project management throughout the design process.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop analog and digital circuits for battery powered memory down hole logging tools
• Handle testing and qualification of electronics
• Manage troubleshooting to diagnose electronic and mechanical failures
• Make recommendations for design improvement
• Create schematic and PCB layouts
• Build prototypes for testing and component qualification
• Assist in the development of firmware for tools
• Develop any desktop software required for testing
• Create documentation required for production and support
• Design mechanical components
• Responsible for project management per design, estimating cost, sourcing materials, and developing timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years' experience designing and testing analog and digital circuits
• Experience working with embedded microcontrollers
• Experience creating schematic and PCB layouts
• Previous experience in designing, testing, and prototyping designs
• Ability to work without supervision.
