About the position

The Senior Electrical / Designer Engineer will be responsible for working on a variety of engineering projects within a well-established consulting firm. This role focuses on power distribution and requires proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, along with extensive experience in consulting engineering for buildings. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits, and is aimed at candidates with significant experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for various types of buildings including industrial, commercial, and healthcare facilities.
• Create lighting and receptacle plans, grounding systems, and distribution panel layouts.
• Prepare single line diagrams and cables & conduit schedules.
• Develop PLC control schematics and motor control centers (MCCs).
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards and client requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
• 12+ years of experience in consulting engineering for buildings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
• Experience with low to medium power distribution and communications systems is desired.
• An active PE license is preferred but not required.
• LEED AP certification is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with other industry-related software.
• Familiarity with lighting design and receptacle planning.
