About the position

CMTA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with over eight years of experience in Consulting Engineering. The role involves designing electrical systems for energy-efficient buildings and complex infrastructure projects, working collaboratively with a team of engineers and consultants. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated leader who excels in project management and client relations, contributing to the success of both the team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, and renewable energy systems for various projects.
• Lead and guide design and construction projects internally and externally with clients and contractors.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to staff engineers.
• Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Professionally stamp drawings and prepare affidavits as required.
• Interact with owners, clients, architects, and contractors through effective communication.
• Evaluate and apply standard engineering techniques and criteria to perform assigned tasks.
• Collaborate with other engineers to meet project deadlines.
• Research and analyze client design requirements to evaluate feasibility and maintenance needs.
• Review contractor submittals to ensure conformance with contract documents.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with MEP design.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Massachusetts PE registration is required.
• Experience with internal and external project management.
• Experience in MEP design and specifications.
• Experience managing relationships with Owners and Architects.
• Experience in Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12, and Commercial sectors.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
