About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer at CMTA is responsible for designing and overseeing electrical systems for energy-efficient buildings and complex infrastructure projects. This role requires a strong technical background in Electrical Engineering, project management experience, and the ability to lead teams and collaborate with clients and other consultants. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainable engineering and a proven track record in the field.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and renewable energy systems.
• Lead and guide design and construction projects internally and externally with clients.
• Attend and lead meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed.
• Provide guidance to staff engineers on energy-efficient designs.
• Evaluate and apply engineering techniques and procedures for assigned tasks.
• Research and analyze customer design proposals and specifications to evaluate feasibility and maintenance requirements.
• Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract documents.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Consulting Engineering.
• PE License in Massachusetts.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with Revit/AutoCAD.
• Experience in MEP Design and Specifications.
• Experience managing relationships with Owners and Architects.
• Experience in Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12, and Commercial sectors.
