As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll be using your design and analysis skills to plan and design electrical systems for buildings and facilities, and data centers. This will include designing full electrical systems, including power, lighting, grounding, emergency and standby generation systems, and life safety systems. You will be responsible for developing the assigned scope of work, manhour estimates, Electrical Execution Plans, and defined required resources for successful project execution. You'll be responsible for providing system design calculations and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering). You'll also take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned to you by demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team. Responsibilities

  • Plan and design electrical systems for buildings and facilities, including data centers.
  • Design full electrical systems, including power, lighting, grounding, emergency and standby generation systems, and life safety systems.
  • Develop the assigned scope of work, manhour estimates, Electrical Execution Plans, and required resources for successful project execution.
  • Provide system design calculations and related design services, coordinating with other trades' designs.
  • Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of assigned work.
  • Progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated projects in conjunction with a technical team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited university program.
  • PE (Professional Engineer's) License.
  • At least 15 years of experience in electrical engineering design of buildings.
  • Demonstrated data center experience.
  • Solid knowledge and application of electrical requirements per NFPA 70, 70E, 72, 101, 110, building codes, energy codes, and other related standards such as IEEE and ASHRAE standards.
  • Experience in mentoring/coaching younger engineers.
  • Proficiency in SKM, Etap, or similar design software.

Nice-to-haves

  • LEED AP - Experience in Medium Voltage Distribution.
