About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer (Embedded Control) is responsible for developing embedded control systems for precision motion control sub-systems, particularly for Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM). This role involves close collaboration with various engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of control sub-systems with the SEM mechanical system, including firmware implementation and control algorithm development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop embedded system control for precision motion control sub-systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams for integration of control sub-systems with SEM mechanical systems.
  • Implement firmware for control sub-systems.
  • Develop control algorithms based on system requirements, including advanced motion controls and vibration isolation.

Requirements

  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in embedded system development.
  • Solid skills in system control firmware development for industrial control sub-systems.
  • Independent working ability with strong initiative and self-motivation.
  • Team-working attitude.
  • Solid skills in motion/motor control system development based on embedded bare-metal/RTOS.
  • Experience in communication development (Ethernet/UART/SPI/USB/CAN/EtherCAT).
  • Experience in embedded system development on ARM or SoC with C/C++ programming.
  • Familiarity with VHDL/Verilog on FPGA and knowledge of board-level circuits design and debug.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with application & driver development on Linux.
  • GUI development with C#.
