About the position
The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead electrical design efforts within the Industrial Facilities Engineering and Design Team at Olsson. This role focuses on coordinating electrical systems, creating construction documents, and ensuring quality assurance in projects that enhance community infrastructure. The position emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and the application of innovative engineering solutions in various industrial projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design and coordination of electrical systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Create construction documents and specifications for electrical projects.
- Execute quality assurance/quality control plans for electrical designs.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and team members.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
- Perform supporting calculations for electrical systems.
- Meet with clients to discuss conceptual and final designs.
- Travel to job sites for observation and project oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 12-20+ years of electrical engineering experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
