About the position

Corbin Consulting is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Beaverton office. This role involves working with a multi-discipline team to design and analyze electrical systems for clients in advanced technology, industrial, and life sciences sectors. Responsibilities

  • Conduct engineering studies of power and low voltage systems to survey existing conditions, evaluate capacities, and recommend corrections and upgrades.
  • Design electrical systems including power, lighting, distribution systems, heat trace, and equipment installation designs.
  • Perform short circuit analysis, arc flash analysis, overcurrent protective device coordination, and review power quality and reliability.
  • Design low voltage systems, including instrumentation and controls, telecommunications, life safety, and security systems.
  • Coordinate with engineering team members across disciplines.
  • Interface directly with customers for design review meetings and engineering consultations.
  • Write technical specifications, sequences of operations, testing documents, and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • 7+ years of experience as an independent designer/engineer.
  • Thorough understanding of NEC requirements, including electrical clearances, circuit sizing, and motor circuit design.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player.
  • Highly organized with a sense of responsibility and follow-through.
  • Dedication to professional growth and results-oriented work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with EasyPower and SKM software.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit.
  • PE license or ability to obtain PE registration within six months.
