About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Solution Architect at Hewlett Packard Enterprise is responsible for designing and developing electronic components and systems, particularly focusing on power solutions for servers and storage products. This role requires expertise in DC-DC converter technology and involves collaboration with various teams to ensure the successful development and implementation of electrical hardware solutions. The position is primarily onsite at the HPE headquarters in Houston, TX, and emphasizes innovation, problem-solving, and mentoring within a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic components and systems.
  • Conduct experimental tests and evaluate results to establish operating data.
  • Select components and equipment based on analysis specifications and reliability.
  • Provide expertise to functional project teams and participate in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide peers and junior engineers in electrical hardware design and development.
  • Oversee multiple project teams responsible for all stages of electrical hardware design and development.
  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities.
  • Evaluate reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10 or more years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with electrical design tools and software packages such as Cadence Allegro Viewer and SIMPLIS simulation.
  • Proven experience in DC-DC converter technology design and development.
  • Excellent assessment and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in overall architecture of electronic hardware for products and solutions.
