This position is for a Senior Electrical Engineer with a focus on Test Equipment Engineering at Raytheon, located in Tucson, Arizona. The position emphasizes the importance of maintaining technical, cost, and schedule aspects of assigned projects, and candidates will be expected to act independently or as part of a team to resolve issues related to test product development and implementation. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and integrate Raytheon test products within Test Equipment Engineering in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Develop engineering and production test systems, including test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, and circuit design and analysis.
  • Contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development, managing technical, cost, and schedule aspects of assigned projects.
  • Act independently or as part of a team to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with electrical engineering design, including troubleshooting, analysis, and testing.
  • Experience with electrical engineering design and analysis tools such as Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, and Creo Schematic.
  • Experience with test equipment including Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, and Power Meters.
  • Experience using schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Ability to provide technical leadership in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design.
  • Experience designing, testing, and integrating digital, mixed signal, and electrical system interconnect.
  • Experience utilizing integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage workload to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Proficient technical writing and formal presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead single- or multi-discipline teams of engineers.
