About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer - Test Equipment position at Raytheon involves working within the Test Equipment Engineering Team to design, develop, and integrate test products for various Raytheon systems. This role requires hands-on collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment, focusing on the entire development lifecycle of test solutions. The engineer will be responsible for managing technical, cost, and schedule aspects of projects while ensuring the successful implementation of test products.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and integrate Raytheon test products within Test Equipment Engineering teams.
  • Develop engineering and production test systems, including test interface adapters and cabling.
  • Create technical drawings, schematics, and perform circuit design and analysis.
  • Contribute to all stages of test product development and manage technical, cost, and schedule aspects of projects.
  • Act independently or as part of a team to resolve issues related to test product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and five years of relevant experience, or an Advanced degree and three years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • Experience with electrical engineering design, troubleshooting, analysis, and testing.
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering design tools such as Altium, DX Designer, and Mentor Capital.
  • Experience with test equipment like oscilloscopes, DMMs, and network analyzers.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master of Science degree in STEM, preferably ABET accredited.
  • Technical leadership experience in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience in analog, digital, and/or RF design.
  • Experience in designing, testing, and integrating digital and mixed signal systems.
  • Familiarity with integrated development environments and debugging tools.
  • Strong technical writing and formal presentation skills.
  • Project management experience and bid/proposal experience.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture and optimization techniques.
