In this role, you will be responsible for the overall supervision of assigned projects, which may include managing a large project or several smaller projects with complex features. You will have the opportunity to lead a team of engineers and technicians, while also actively contributing to business development by bringing work into the firm. Your expertise will be crucial in making major design recommendations and decisions, planning design work, and ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will have the option to follow either a Technical Path or a Project Management Path. On the Technical Path, you will contribute to leadership within our Technical Operations Team, analyze technical problems, and provide assistance in resolving field issues. Alternatively, on the Project Management Path, you will serve as a Project Manager, identify prospective clients, and prepare proposals for services. Regardless of the path you choose, your ability to mentor and lead others will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned projects and manage a large project or multiple smaller projects with complex features.
  • Make major design recommendations and decisions with minimal input from senior staff.
  • Plan design work by discipline for all project sizes and assign duties to staff working on projects.
  • Review correspondence prepared by junior staff and participate in quality control of projects.
  • Contribute to leadership in the Technical Operations Team for both large and small projects.
  • Act as an advisor, analyze technical problems, and write reports.
  • Play a significant role in project reviews for quality control of large complex projects.
  • Provide technical assistance to resolve field issues, including site visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years of qualifying experience in electrical engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license.
