About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer position at Jacobs involves leveraging extensive industry experience to address contemporary engineering challenges. This role supports the People & Places Solutions business, focusing on innovative solutions that enhance community and societal well-being. The position is hybrid, allowing work from the Fort Worth or Dallas, Texas offices, and encompasses a variety of responsibilities related to integrated building services design.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
• Design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
• Prepare load analysis for different stages of design.
• Create detailed drawings of the designed systems.
• Prepare basis of design reports for projects.
• Document energy compliance calculations and forms.
• Select equipment and fixtures for building use.
• Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.
• United States Citizenship.
• At least 10 years of experience in a corporate engineering environment in an electrical engineering capacity.
• Demonstrated initiative, creative problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to teamwork.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data center, power, and generator systems.
• Familiarity with medium voltage distribution.
• Knowledge of the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) design.
