About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer at Serco will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical components and systems for undersea systems engineering projects supporting the US Navy. This role requires collaboration with a dynamic team to deliver quality products and services while ensuring compliance with security and quality procedures. The position is contingent upon maintaining a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electrical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software for assignments.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to deliver quality products and services to the fleet.
• Apply electrical engineering principles and techniques to achieve project goals.
• Lead Failure Analysis and corrective action investigations as needed.
• Provide work leadership for lower-level employees.
• Support the development and creation of Technical Data Packages for complex systems.
• Comply with applicable quality and security procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8-10 years of electrical engineering experience (military experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
• Must have a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Experience using Altium or similar circuit design programs.
• Experience performing modeling and simulation of electronic systems.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
