About The Position

The Senior Electrical Engineer at Dartmouth College plays a crucial role in providing high-quality engineering services for various projects, particularly focusing on the Decarbonization Program aimed at transitioning the campus heating systems to more sustainable solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or architectural engineering technology or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical design and drafting, preferably with an MEP consulting firm.
  • Registered Professional Electrical Engineer in New Hampshire or ability to obtain registration within one year.
  • Familiarity with low voltage electrical design and field experience.
  • Experience with energy-efficient lighting and electrical system design.

Nice To Haves

  • High proficiency with AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D drafting software like Revit.
  • Knowledge of low-carbon renewable energy systems and smart grid technologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical engineering oversight of consultants for new construction and renovation projects.
  • Act as a liaison between Facilities Operations & Maintenance and various departments for engineering support services.
  • Perform engineering design and construction administration for small electrical system renovation projects.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of campus design and construction guidelines.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness in all interactions.
