About the position

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a vital part of our manufacturing operations, working to develop, test, and optimize electrical systems. This role is a permanent position, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects with a focus on mixed signal, discrete circuit design, and analog design. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be tasked with leading the design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, components, or systems in manufacturing operations. You will implement and oversee the production of mixed signal, discrete circuit design, and analog design while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems align with overall project objectives. Applying principles of electrical theory to engineering projects, you will analyze and interpret data to inform design decisions and solve complex problems. Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards will be a key part of your role, as will supervising and mentoring junior electrical engineers, fostering a culture of continued learning and improvement. Staying updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations will be essential to maintain a cutting-edge industry knowledge. You will also troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems in a timely and efficient manner, preparing technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, components, or systems in manufacturing operations.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven expertise in mixed signal, discrete circuit design, and analog design.
  • Strong understanding of electrical manufacturing processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Proficiency in using design and calculation software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes related to electronic engineering.
  • Proficiency in design and layout of PCBs.
