About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer position at Ramboll involves leading electrical design projects, mentoring junior engineers, and serving as the primary client interface. This role focuses on promoting sustainable practices within the energy sector and requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead electrical engineer.
• Lead the quality review process of work products developed by others.
• Mentor and develop the technical skills of team members.
• Act as the client interface representing the electrical discipline.
• Lead other disciplines during a design program.
• Act as the project manager on small to mid-scale electrical projects.
• Interact with clients during the request for proposal stage and develop proposals and fee estimates.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and represent Ramboll throughout project duration.
• Promote Ramboll's capabilities to clients and build relationships within the marketplace.
• Support construction projects with cost estimating, scheduling, site inspections, and shop drawing reviews.
• Demonstrate understanding of industry codes and standards, and develop code analysis reports.
• Design electrical power distribution systems, grounding systems, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, and communication systems.
• Prepare technical reports and power systems analysis reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
• 12+ years of relevant work experience.
• PE license required.
• 2+ years of experience leading a team of design professionals in a consulting engineering environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE Standards, energy code, and building code.
