About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer at Aret will be instrumental in the research, design, development, and testing of advanced electronic systems. This role emphasizes innovation and collaboration within a diverse team, focusing on high-performance electro-optic sensors and various electronic subsystems. The engineer will lead system integration efforts and ensure the reliability of power electronics in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine electronic subsystems for high-performance electro-optic sensors.
• Lead the development and testing of control and processing systems using FPGAs, GPUs, and embedded processors.
• Design power electronics that function reliably in harsh environments.
• Conduct hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and integration of electronic systems.
• Prepare and present technical briefings to internal teams and external customers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Electrical Engineering experience with a BS/BA in Computer/Electronic Engineering.
• Hands-on experience designing complex, high-speed, low-noise circuit boards.
• System architecture design experience including data acquisition and FPGA strategies.
• Demonstrated track record with high-performance digital systems.
• Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and formal presentation capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

• 12+ years of Electrical Engineering experience with a BS/BA in Computer/Electronic Engineering.
• Experience with motion control systems, particularly stabilized pointing solutions.
• Experience with Altium Designer for schematic design and PCB layout.
• Experience with Xilinx products and tool chain.
• Software programming skills in C/C++, Python, and Matlab.
• Current security clearance is highly desired -- TS preferred.
