About the position

Newr is a product technology startup seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead projects in a dynamic environment. The role involves providing expert direction to electrical technicians and engineers while developing straightforward, sustainable, and innovative products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical engineering, PCB design, and embedded systems, and will thrive in a collaborative and fun workplace.

Responsibilities

• Construct the system architecture for hardware and embedded systems for new products.
• Work with firmware and electrical engineering team to create system operation documentation.
• Create and review PCB schematics and circuits to meet the product's requirements.
• Test and debug PCB assemblies using electronics equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.).
• Understand concepts and use sketches and discussions to create schematics for PCB and component purchase.
• Objective setting for development and test planning.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in electrical engineering and PCB design and debug.
• Experience in Altium Designer is a must.
• 3+ years' experience in embedded hardware design.
• Experience in wireless power transfer.
• Experience with SMPS and signal routing.
• Experience in battery hardware specifically charging & BMS is a plus.
• Experience with BLE & Wifi operating devices is a plus.
• Experience with certification procedures for UL and FCC is a plus.
• Microcontroller Programming experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
