About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer at Siemens Healthineers is responsible for the design, integration, and verification of circuit board designs for ultrasound systems, transducers, and catheters. This role requires collaboration with other engineering teams to establish design requirements and specifications, as well as ownership of circuit board schematic designs and testing. The position is based in Issaquah, Washington, and involves occasional travel for development and problem investigation activities.

Responsibilities

• Work with other engineering teams to create circuit board design requirements and specifications.
• Own circuit board schematic designs and drive board layout, assembly, and testing of the hardware.
• Participate in design integration activities with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Perform root cause failure analysis and implement changes to improve yield, performance, reliability, and manufacturability of designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with high-speed digital and/or analog circuit and printed circuit board design.
• Good documentation skills and attention to detail to support regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with schematic capture tools (Mentor Graphics preferred) and PCB layout tools (Cadence Allegro or similar).
• Experience with specifying circuit board stack-up, layout requirements, and layout constraints.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC design best practices.
• Medical device design experience and basic understanding of regulatory requirements for medical device design control and manufacturing.
