About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the electrical engineering department in a multi-disciplinary MEP Engineering firm, focusing on large-scale projects across various sectors including healthcare, education, and government. This role involves detailed design and analysis of electrical systems, mentoring staff, and ensuring project success through effective client interaction and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Detailed design, modeling and analysis of normal and emergency power distribution systems.
  • Design life safety systems.
  • Design and model lighting and associated control systems.
  • Coordinate with Plumbing, Mechanical, Architectural, Structural, and Telecommunication/Audio Visual disciplines' design.
  • Act as leader in the department and supervise staff's day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Mentor staff in both technical knowledge and career development.
  • Lead projects by interfacing with clients, providing technical excellence, and managing the project team and schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • PE License is a MUST.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects.
