About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer at Worley Group, Inc. is responsible for providing electrical engineering services, including technical support and supervision within the electrical engineering team. This role involves delivering projects that meet regulatory specifications, managing project requirements, and ensuring quality and timely work. The engineer will also assist in procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, while promoting a collaborative work environment and supporting junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical engineering services that meet Worley, its customer and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget
  • Initiate, manage and if required supervise electrical engineering project requirements
  • Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures
  • Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes
  • Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities
  • Prepare detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data sheets, calculations and reports
  • Act as the electrical engineering Lead on specific projects if required
  • Outline project requirements, assign tasks and supervise progress if responsible for a team
  • Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customer requirements
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering
  • Assist and support junior personnel within the electrical engineering team if required
  • Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customers
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

Requirements

  • 4 or 5 year Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Relevant discipline experience
  • Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills
  • A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of electrical engineering and other engineering fields
  • Competent use of electrical engineering specific software
  • Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite
  • Substantial technical and practical experience in electrical engineering in the same or similar industry
