About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer at Brooks Automation is responsible for developing and integrating advanced electrical control solutions for semiconductor automation systems. This role emphasizes collaboration within a dynamic team environment, focusing on innovation and high-quality engineering practices to meet customer demands in the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop new PCBs for system and robot controllers.
• Create Engineering Design Specifications (EDS).
• Engage in technical presentations and cross-functional issue resolution.
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to engineering design standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to deliver complete product solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and hands-on prototyping or testing in labs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Experience with Spice modeling and analysis or equivalent.
• Proficiency in digital circuit design with microcontrollers.
• Knowledge of peripheral integration protocols such as UART, SPI, or I2C.
• Experience with DC-DC power supply circuits.
• Ability to select components and interpret data sheets.
• Familiarity with standard lab equipment and tools for prototyping and debugging circuits.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex board designs.
• Proficiency in standard Windows applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Competency in Altium preferred.
