About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and design of electrical systems for various products. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating AC and DC wiring diagrams for signs, which will include specifying bill of materials (BOM) part numbers. This position requires close collaboration with senior engineers to design and layout printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for applications such as single board computers, environmental control systems, and LED sign/message control systems. Additionally, the engineer will be involved in product life cycle management and customer support, which includes redesigning products to incorporate alternative components or replacements for parts that are reaching end-of-life status. The role demands a strong understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller architectures, as well as proficiency in serial communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, Ethernet, SPI, and I2C. While experience in embedded firmware and LabVIEW is not mandatory, it is considered a plus. The engineer will also be expected to troubleshoot and debug existing products, as well as new developments, ensuring that all designs meet the required standards and specifications. This position is a direct hire opportunity with a competitive salary of $75,000 annually, and it operates on a first shift schedule.
