As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Areté, you will play a pivotal role in researching, designing, developing, and testing a variety of electronic equipment, including advanced imaging systems, LIDAR equipment, SONAR systems, and motion control/pointing solutions. Your responsibilities will encompass developing functional requirements and specifications for electronic subsystems that support high bandwidth multi-channel electro-optic sensors. You will be tasked with designing and implementing the hardware necessary to meet these requirements, ensuring that the systems are robust and reliable in challenging environments. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and testing control and processing systems utilizing FPGAs, GPUs, computers, and embedded processors. This will require hands-on experience with high-speed data paths using FPGAs, high-performance memory and storage subsystems, embedded processors, GPUs, and DSPs. You will also be involved in developing power electronics using various power modules, integrated circuits, and discrete components, ensuring their functionality in harsh conditions. Your expertise in FPGA and microprocessor coding and debugging techniques will be crucial during the system implementation and integration phases of projects. Additionally, you will prepare and present technical briefings to both internal and external customers, as well as write and support new and existing technical and cost proposals.
