About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing electrical systems, coordinating with local power utility companies, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role is crucial for delivering integrated construction, design, and technology solutions, contributing to the growth and capabilities of the firm.

Responsibilities

• Coordination with local power utility companies for new/upgrades of electrical service
• Electrical system analysis and calculations
• Design of electrical power, control, and lighting systems from service to load
• Design of fire alarm systems and low voltage systems
• Service room layout, utility conduit coordination, grounding and lighting protection
• Prepare design narrative and feasibility reports
• Conduct electrical & fire alarm field surveys, inspections, and punchlists
• Use engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD)

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10 years of relevant design experience
• PE License in New York required
• Able to meet strict deadlines and work well under pressure
• Ability to multi-task on several projects at once
• Strong communication skills and the ability to pro-actively collaborate during the design and construction process
