About the position

The Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer, Production role is part of the Sustaining Engineering team, focusing on power generation products for military and commercial programs. This position involves collaboration with design, manufacturing, testing, and quality engineers to ensure the production and delivery of high-quality power generation products to aviation customers. The role requires daily onsite work at the Vandalia, OH facility.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for power electronics design and engineering, including designing, developing, modifying, evaluating, or troubleshooting electronic parts and components.
  • Determine design approaches and parameters; analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
  • Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Provide engineering and technical support in a production environment.
  • Familiar with Engineering Change (EC), Root Cause Corrective Analysis (RCCA), and Cost Analysis.
  • Provide informal guidance to new team members.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or related field from an accredited university or college.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in an engineering position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology or related field from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience with Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, HMOS/MOS/CMOS, PLL, ADC, DAC.
  • Familiar with essential principles of electrical circuits and power electronics.
  • Familiar with essential principles of magnetics and transformers.
  • Familiar with circuit design tools such as LTSpice and Altium Designer.
  • Experience designing, manufacturing, or troubleshooting electrical circuits.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.
  • Strong project ownership, execution, and proactive mentalities.
