About the position

The Senior Electrical Integrator position at Lockheed Martin Space is a pivotal role within the Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) program, specifically supporting the Life Extension 2 (LE2) team. This team is dedicated to the development of the Next Generation System, focusing on the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile. As a Senior Electrical Integrator, you will be responsible for integrating the Test Missile Kit 2 (TMK2) into Strategic Weapon Facility operations, ensuring that the system meets all technical requirements throughout its lifecycle. This role requires a deep understanding of systems engineering processes, including system trade studies, requirements development, and test planning and execution. You will work closely with various teams, including design, subsystem engineering, and production, to ensure seamless integration and compliance with product certifications. In this role, you will also be expected to support the TMK2 RSE and both LE and LE2 Missile RSEs, verifying compliance with technical requirements. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, as you will need to navigate complex interdependencies and ensure that all aspects of the TMK2 system are aligned with the overall program goals. Responsibilities

  • Integrate TMK2 efforts into Strategic Weapon Facility operations and capabilities to support new fleet deployments including Columbia and Dreadnought class SSBNs.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of program-unique and Space and media to ensure the TMK2 system meets technical requirements throughout the lifecycle.
  • Support the TMK2 RSE and both LE and LE2 Missile RSEs.
  • Verify compliance with LE & LE2 product certifications at the system level.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of current LE2 TMK2 integration approach and processes.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and Systems Integration functions, including system trade studies, requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development, system integration, test and/or verification, test planning and execution, and design reviews.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with spacecraft/missile design, development, integration, or test.
  • Experience with telemetry systems, flight operations, and/or electrical design.
  • Proven understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors.
  • System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Propulsion, RF, Software).
  • Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule.
  • Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware products throughout the full life cycle of the program.
  • Ability to interact with hardware Certified Principal Engineers (CPEs) and designers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied.
