The Senior Electrical Project Engineer in the XP HVHP (High Voltage, High Power) division is a pivotal role responsible for the design, development, and support of high voltage DC power supplies. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills, as the engineer will oversee project deliverables, manage resource allocation, and ensure timelines are met. The role involves leading design projects for new DC power supplies that can operate at voltages up to 500kV, while strictly adhering to established design and development guidelines. The engineer will also be tasked with modifying existing designs to better meet customer specifications and needs. In addition to design responsibilities, the Senior Electrical Project Engineer will engage in research and evaluation of new technologies and components, ensuring that the selection of raw materials and suppliers aligns with product performance specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements. The role includes conducting parts derating analysis, performing failure analysis, and writing technical reports. The engineer will also oversee compliance and reliability testing of power supplies, providing sustaining support for existing designs through evaluation of components and processes.
